The original idea was to manufacture a garment that would be easy to use on breaks, such as rest breaks during skiing and hiking, and that would be easy to take along. Joutsen down coats have been awarded the Design From Finland mark, which signifies Finnish design and responsible manufacturing. The filling of the coats consists of responsibly produced down, which is a by-product of meat production. The down is cleaned in our own processing facility without the use of harmful chemicals.
