Measurement guide

A. Length
Total length of the coat measured on the back, from the base of the collar straight down to the hem.

B. Chest
Width measured from armpit to armpit.

C. Waist
Width at the narrowest point of the waist, measured 40 cm down from the base of the collar.

D. Hip
Width at the hip, measured 60 cm down from the base of the collar.

E. Hem
Width of the bottom hem, measured from edge to edge.

F. Sleeve
Length measured from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

G. Shoulder
Width measured across the upper back from one shoulder seam to the other.

A light down jacket shaped by the waves of Lake Kallavesi

Aalto is a streamlined and beautifully fitted down jacket. Its softly undulating quilting evokes waves moving across the surface of Lake Kallavesi and gives the understated design its distinctive character.

The slim silhouette is complemented by feminine seam detailing at the front and back. Seamless sides create a particularly refined finish, while the longer back hem adds visual interest, protection and comfortable coverage.

Pure down provides just the right amount of warmth while preserving the jacket’s airy, lightweight feel. The fixed hood can be adjusted for a comfortable fit in changing weather, while the straight sleeves feature turn-back cuffs for versatile styling. Concealed zipped front pockets blend seamlessly into the coat’s lines, and an inner chest pocket keeps important belongings secure.

Joutsen down coats have been awarded the Design From Finland mark, which signifies Finnish design and responsible manufacturing. The coats are filled with scientifically tested, pure down and feathers sourced as by-products of the meat industry.


Down and feathers are cleaned to a high standard of safety and purity at our own processing plant using the multi-stage Joutsen Down System cleaning process.
